Our Wedding Invitation

For our wedding invitations, we decided to keep things very simple. We ordered them from Aviraa Creations, and she did an amazing job! I’m so happy with how they turned out.

We wanted the invitations to have a plain white design with a white bow (which our wedding cake for the reception also have btw), but still include a Tamil touch, so for the temple wedding, we included a Tamil invitation featuring Pillaiyar. The reception invitation was even simpler, but we added a touch of elegance with text that had a ‘glitter’ or ‘metallic’ gold effect.”

The only sad part about the invitations was that we couldn’t give them to everyone in person due to time constraints. Suddenly, time flew by, and we just couldn’t keep up with visiting everyone to hand-deliver them. Thankfully, we had already invited everyone through Facebook, so the physical invitations were more of a personal touch that we really wanted to give in person.

Our initial plan was to visit all our friends and give them the invitations directly, but it turned out to be unrealistic with the time we had. Looking back, I wish we had planned that part better, as giving the invitations in person feels so much more meaningful.

This is definitely one of my regrets in the wedding process; I wish we planned in good time and got the invitations earlier, meaning ordering the invitations earlier, so we could take us good time to vist our loved ones and invite them directly to our wedding.

Now let me show you our invitation:
