7 Ways to Decorate Your Home for Christmas

I might be a little behind with this blogpost but I still wanted to share different ways to decorate and make your home cosy and christmassy! So let’s go:

TV-stand

If you have a TV stand, adding some garland with lights can make a huge difference to the vibe. Pair it with a virtual fireplace on the TV, and it creates the perfect cozy atmosphere! Also add some ornaments to the garland to spice it up!

Stairs

If you have stairs at home, garlands on the railing create such a beautiful, cozy atmosphere. Adding red bows? Looove it! You can also try adding lights to the garland. I gave it a shot, but I felt it looked a bit messy, so I removed them and kept it simpler so I only have bows and a few red ornaments.

Windowsill

I love decorating windowsills. They’re so easy to style and instantly elevate the Christmas vibes. Here, I’ve added garlands along with some ornaments, lights, and a mix of random Christmas decorations I had on hand. As you can tell by now; I’m doing the same vibe all over: garlands with light and ornaments all the way: It’s easy, I have most of the things I need already, so it is also affordable and I just love that kind of decor!

Baskets

This is something I haven’t tried before, but I’ve seen jars with Christmas lights and decorations. Instead, I used baskets! I added lights and green garlands to one, while the other holds a bunch of Christmas socks… because why not? ;) The plan was to also add a lot of blankets in the bigger basket, but at this moment, all blankets are on the couch :P

Christmas lights

Christmas lights… do I even need to say more? Anything that lights up instantly creates a warm and cozy vibe. I’ve placed them everywhere it makes sense for me and I’m loving it! :P

Pillows, blankets and candles

Pillows, blankets, and candles were at the top of my wishlist this year! But they were either sold out everywhere or ridiculously expensive when they weren’t sold out. I really struggled to find anything at a fair price. Then, I came across red and dark green pillowcases at Jysk, which were much more affordable, and I found a lovely plaid at H&M. I absolutely love how it all came together!

Table centerpieces

One of the simplest and easiest ways to create a Christmas vibe is by adding a centerpiece to your dining table and the table in the living room as well. It could be a bunch of ornaments arranged on a decorative tray or a beautiful candle. either works perfectly!

These are the ways I tend to decorate at home! Let me know how you guys decorate to get into the Christmas spirit! :D
