As I’ve mentioned in my previous post I am working towards a little healthier lifestyle this year so that I can work and study more effectively and just be healthy inside and out. So I thought I would share 5 easy ways to live a healthier life. Some of them are things I already do and some of them are actually new things I want to try out, and I’ll keep you guys updated about what I think and how it works for me.
1. Go Outdoor / Appreciate nature
Go for a walk; Enjoying the nature is one of the best ways to find inner peace and it’s so healthy inside and out. It’s also good for your skin to get some fresh air and mentally it’s so peaceful. I love listening to music and just go for a walk. It de-stresses me and I feel so relieved after a walk and some music. Also you get a break from your everyday-routines. That is so healthy and something we all need from time to time.
2. Eat Healthy
Eating healthy is one of the most challenging thing for me cause I love junk food, chocolate and soda. And… I don’t even feel ashamed. Not sure if I should? :P
With that said; The plan is to make a salad bowl or/and fruit bowl everyday. I’ll start off my day with cutting some salad, fruits and veggies for the day and make sure to eat it throughout my day and in that way I do get some good vitamins to keep me going. It’s quick and simple and it’s easy to vary! At the same time I don’t need to focus too much on eating healthy food: It’s just there :P
3. Workout
I actually enjoy working out a lot more than what I used to and I think mainly it’s because the feeling afterards is amazing! For me working out is swimming & fitness right now. Find something you enjoy so that your workout won’t be a pain in the a**. This year my workout will be swimming at least twice a month and going to fitness at least 2-3 times a week. Lately I’ve got some issues with sleeping, but whenever I workout it’s easier for me to sleep, so it’s definitely a must so that I can keep on going with some good energy. Oh! And dont forget to drink water btw!
4. Smile!
Smile. Just smile. It’s simple and easy. One of the most easiest way to live a healthier life is actually by just smiling. Being happy without any specific reason. Appreciate the small things. Be grateful. Practice being positive in no matter what situation you are in. I promise you it will make your life so much easier! So smile, please ^_^ <3
5. Meditate
So this is new for me. I sometimes do breathing exercises before I sleep but then that’s it. This time I want to meditate every morning and night. I’ve read that starting and ending your day with meditation is one of the best ways to a healthier life so I’m gonna give it a shot! If you are in a rush you can just meditate about 5-10 minutes. It isn’t that time consuming as you might think. I’m looking forward to dig a little deeper with meditation.
