There are only about 3 months until the wedding, and surprisingly, I’m not really stressed, which is a good thing. However, I don’t feel like we have everything in place yet. We’re just taking it one day at a time! :P I’ve found a bunch of checklists, and I thought I would share with you guys how far we have gotten.
Done:
- Wedding date is set.
- Venue is booked.
- Photography and videography are arranged.
- Makeup artists are confirmed.
- Wedding officiant is booked.
- Caterer is booked.
- Decorators/florists are confirmed.
- DJ is booked.
- Obtained marriage license.
- Temple wedding plans are on track; our parents are taking the lead on that one mainly.
In progress:
- Guest list: We almost have the guest list sorted, but it’s not finalized yet.
- Sending out invitations: We haven’t received our physical invitations yet, but we have informed most of our friends and invited them to a Facebook event so that we can keep track of how many people are attending, including those staying over. Our parents are inviting people through phone calls since my dad doesn’t have the energy to visit everyone’s place due to health issues.
- Wedding attire for the reception: I’ve ordered the accessories, and I’ll probably get them next week. I still need to find my second outfit, which I think is going to be a lehenga. My boyfriend also needs to find his outfit.
- Wedding attire for the temple wedding is also in progress.
- Accommodations are in progress.
- Wedding theme/style.
- Stationery.
Not yet done:
- We still need to arrange a wedding cake.
- We still need to send out invitations and finalize the guest list.
- We still need to do the save-the-date shoot.
- Transportation.
- Wedding rings.
- Vows.
- Delegate tasks for the wedding day (not sure if this is needed yet).
So yeah, there are still a lot of things to do, but the main thing as food, venue etc. is set so I think we are all good :)
